Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his unique mix of soul gospel jazz R&B and R&B. She has performed on Broadway and during the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine's given name is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang as well as performed piano. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. She was named the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- and Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to be the director of the choral group for this theatrical production. Sunshine became the focus of attention during four daily shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.

Trevor Morris, an SCDC prisoner was killed in being involved in a dispute with another prisoners. Trevor Morris had served in prison for 10 years and died of stab wounds. The incident occurred in South Carolina Department of Corrections, Columbia, South Carolina. Trevor Morris had been 27 old at the time of his death. Since his death, Morris has been active on Twitter. Major media outlets haven't reported on the death. Some speculate that it was the result of murder. Other inmates are not uncommonly known to attack a pedophile inside prison. Ten of the charges were sexual exploitation in 2nd degree for an infant, and 10 of sexual abuse in the third degree in an infant.
